On May 12 we will set out on a 83 day walk from Lands End to John O'Groats. As of today we have completed plotting our route and booking accomodation at 68 different overnight spots. Our goal is stay at pubs or old coaching inns wherever possible and to sample the local brew in every town we pass through.

I'm envious, I did a pub crawl on Wainwright's coast to coast path a few years ago. I started out alone and as it is a well trodden path 1 traveller soon became 6. We spent each night in either in tents or at travelling inns.
We were a curious bunch thrown together by chance, Binman, Army Officer, Nurse, Retired Business man...
We all got trashed together in the evenings and talked and walked off the hangover each morning.
